Counted Cross-Stitch Designs

I began stitching counted cross-stitch designs more than 30 years ago and have completed dozens of projects for friends and family. I mainly stitched from existing kits (Mill Hill and Janlynn are a favorite!) and, for many years, never veered from the original design. Over time, I started to modify small sections of the pattern to fit my needs or tastes and found it to be quite enjoyable.

In the spring of 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, I broke my right thumb in a minor bicycle accident. Since I am dominantly right-handed, the break prevented me from doing much of anything. Stitching of any kind – counted cross-stitch, hand-embroidery, etc. – was impossible. At the beginning of the lockdown, I had made a goal for myself to do something creative every day, so I decided to use my free time to design my own counted cross-stitch patterns – purely for fun. I was particularly inspired by architectural images I found online, and I decided to re-imagine them as counted cross-stitch designs. It was such an educational experience to work through this process, and it was one that brought me great joy. I hope someday to design a few more patterns, but until then, please enjoy these two!

Can I Choose My Own Colors?

The color combinations in all of my ornaments are designed to work together harmoniously. At this time, I don't offer custom colorways, but hopefully you can find something you love within the existing collection.
